Music
Participation in Central’s music ministry provides opportunities for fellowship, music-making, and sharing God-given talents—all in a welcoming and nurturing environment. Opportunities for involvement include our Chancel Choir, two handbell choirs, and the use of instrumentalists and vocalists in solos and ensembles.
Chancel Choir
All adults and older youth who enjoy singing are welcome to participate in Chancel Choir. This choir is an integral part of the worship service each Sunday. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:45 PM in the Music Room, located on the left side of the hallway as you approach the educational building, September through May.
Chancel Bells
This group of adult and youth ringers plays approximately once a month for worship services. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the sanctuary, September through May.
Joyful Noise
Our youth handbell choir plays regularly for worship services. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM, in the sanctuary, September through May.
Children’s Choir
For children in grades K-6, the Children’s Choir rehearses from 10:00 to 10:30 AM on select Sundays throughout the year.
Instrumental Opportunities
We enjoy incorporating instrumental music into our worship services, and draw from the talents within our church family.
Vocal Soloists
Worship services are frequently graced with the talents of vocal soloists, again from within our church community.
Please speak to or email our Director of Music, Ms. Kathy Lowrie, if you are interested in any of the above opportunities.
