A MONTH OF SUNDAYS
Sundays in September
September 5th – Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost – Labor Day Sunday. Communion
We worship in the Fellowship Hall again and celebrate not only all those who labor, but God’s work in us and our world. The scripture will be Jeremiah 18:1-11, and we will have a pottery theme. Expect an active and meaningful service.
September 12th – All-Church Retreat Sunday
We return to worship in our Sanctuary this Sunday as part of our All-Church Retreat Weekend. The Rev. Paul Nickerson, who is leading our retreat, will bring the message. Please stay after worship for a light lunch and a chance for fellowship and to speak to Paul.
September 19th – SPIRIT SUNDAY!
The kick-off of our programming year and we are going to party. This is a Family Sunday, and all children and youth will be in service for family-friendly worship. Invite your friends – it will be a fun service. After worship, come continue the celebration in the Fellowship Hall where there will be ice cream and information provided by various church boards on their activities – including an Open House for our new children’s Sunday School program. Also after worship, at 12:30, there will be a meeting of all parents whose teens will attend the OWL program.
September 26th – Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost
Another wonderful morning of worship. Children’s Sunday School begins this Sunday, so children should go directly to the Sunday School room. After worship, please stay for a lunch and presentation on the options available for replacing our steeple.

ANNUAL CHURCH GARAGE SALE THIS SATURDAY
Date: Saturday, September 4th
8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
Our annual garage sale will be held the Saturday before Labor Day, September 4th from 8-3. So, it’s time to recycle–time to clean out closets and garages or even volunteer to help your neighbor with theirs! This is our opportunity to provide low-cost clothing, furniture, and household items to the public while at the same time offering ourselves the gift of time with our friends. Sign-up sheets are up. It’s a great social event, and always a success. Come and join the fun.
