Mission Trips
Central takes part in a Mission Trip every summer. In 2005, we went to the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas. The next summer we went to Magoffin County, Kentucky with Appalachia Service Project. July, 2007 took us to Gulfport, Mississippi to do Hurricane Katrina recovery work. And we spent a week in Louisianna do continue our Hurricane efforts with Disciples Home Missions.
We are already starting to plan for next year’s trip. The exciting part is that we are adding a second mission trip! Our Junior High youth and adult sponsors will be heading to the Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas to learn more about world hunger and poverty issues. Our Senior High will be making the long drive to Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to work with Re-member. To learn more about our trips, feel free to contact Rev. Katelin Warren.
