Children’s Education

Several activities are provided for the purpose of welcoming the children into the life of the church and developing their religious education. Among these are:

Children’s Sermons
A weekly mini-sermon by the pastor is delivered especially for the children during the worship hour on Sundays.

Sunday School
Children leave the worship service, following their special sermon, and go into the educational wing. Classes are in a workshop format with hands-on activities centered on Biblical themes and stories. Children are divided into groups: a primary (pre-K - 2nd) and an intermediate group (3rd - 6th). Theme units are 4-6 weeks long with classes in areas such as Biblical knowledge, storytelling, drama, music, art, computers, cooking, and science, to name a few.

Other Activities
These usually include an Advent Workshop comprised of make-and-take activities with a communal luncheon, an Easter Egg Hunt followed by brunch, and musical presentations in church.
