Sundays in March
The services this month will coordinate with the topics in our Lenten Prayer Journey, Unbinding Your Heart.
March 7 – Third Sunday in Lent. Communion
This Sunday we will discuss how to have healthy relationships within our church community, and how that affects our relationship with God. The sermon texts will be Micah 6:6-8 and Acts 2:14, 32-39. Joyful Noise will rehearse before service, and the PF will meet in the PF room as usual before service and be in the Fellowship Hall during service for their Unbinding Your Heart program.
March 14 – Fourth Sunday in Lent
Daylight Savings Time Begins! The focus this Sunday will be on how we in the church can transform lives. The sermon text will be John 4:7-29. We will also be taking the One Great Hour of Sharing special offering on this Sunday. Joyful Noise will meet before service. The PF will have their regular 10 a.m. program, followed by an Unbinding Your Heart program in the Fellowship Hall during service. After worship, there will be another opportunity to learn more about a Peace Pole for Central Congregational with a presentation in the Parlor.
March 21 – Fifth Sunday in Lent
The theme for today is holy hospitality. The church is the house of the Lord. So how are we doing in welcoming others to God’s house? The sermon text will be Mark 2:1-12. Joyful Noise will rehearse before service, and the PF will meet in the PF room as usual before service and be in the Fellowship Hall during service for their Unbinding Your Heart program.
March 28 – Palm Sunday
Today we enter Jerusalem with Jesus, palm leaves waving. Jesus is always with us, but that means we may wind up in places we wouldn’t have gone on our own. The sermon text will be Luke 19:28-40. This will be the last Sunday of our Unbinding series. Joyful Noise will meet before service
