Doing justice, seeking peace and building community are central to the identity of the United Church of Christ and is open to all ages of our church community.  With a goal of building a stronger faith-based movement for peace, justice, equality and inclusivity in alignment with the UCC Justice and Witness Ministries, the Social Justice Ministry team at Central Congregational has partnered with Faith in Texas to stand in solidarity with congregations across the Dallas Metroplex to make an impact on social justice issues in our communities. Faith in Texas is a multi-faith, multi-racial movement for social justice building partnerships with over 50 congregations who covenant together to solve systemic problems at the neighborhood, city, and state level.  Faith in Texas is part of the PICO National Network, which stands for People Improving Communities through Organizing. PICO is the nation's largest network that develops civic leadership in low and moderate-income faith communities for economic and racial justice helping congregations work for long-term social change.
