There are a variety of ministries that adults of any age have the opportunity to participate in based on their interest and or passions.  They include:
Adult Education  
Classes are held as small series sessions.  The most recent series included “Hallelujah Anyway” series, using Anne Lamott’s powerful book as a guide and the Lenten series discussions.  Topics vary so if you are interested in leading one, please contact Lauren Crawford, Education Coordinator at
CareNet Organization
This is an ongoing support group for church members who are in need.  CareNet Leaders meet quarterly on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to noon in the Library.

Mindful Parenting
Open to all adults who are a part of the village that love and care for children.  This group meets during the school year every 3
rd Sunday at 12:30pm.  Topics include diversity, spirituality, discipline and different parenting models.  Childcare is provided.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Usually meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm.  The group is on hiatus during the summer months.

Stephen Ministers

A group of highly trained laypersons within our congregation who have been commissioned to provide one-on-one confidential caring relationships to people needing emotional or spiritual support.  Stephen Ministers meet monthly for continuing education and confidential peer supervision.  If you or someone you know would benefit from having a Stephen Minister, or if you’re interested in becoming one yourself, please speak to Winston Morris or Gates Whitaker.

Women’s Fellowship
All women of the church are invited to join in the fellowship on the last Thursday of each month.  A different local dining establishment is selected on each outing so that the group can  enjoy the great conversation and terrific food.  Contact Valerie Byrne at for more information.

Young Adult Group
Is for adults and singles in our church community.  The group meets at varying times for fun, fellowship, service and community outings.
